Update - Doors on
It's been a little while I know. I did try and update a couple of weeks ago, but have been struggling to update my photo's and still not sure why.
Anyway, since the last post, all our cornices went on - Jazz - and really love it and you can see it in some of the photo's below.
We needed our bath waste moved, which has now been done, and all tiled areas have been screeded by our guy, as we are tiling ourselves post handover. This means our floor heights will be more accurate and all that is needed now are the tiles and glue. Thank you KURMOND for allowing us our own tradie onsite!!! So thankful for that!
Carpenter is onsite at the moment. Has completed all the window architraves and most of the architraves around the doors and door frames. many of the doors are hung including both sets of entry doors. We have 2 lots, main front double doors and then another set at the other end opening to the hallway infront of the sunken lounge.
NEXT, apparently tilers are workig over Christmas, so we should come back in Jan to tiled bathrooms. Kitchen will then be fitted in the New year now, rather than leaving it in the house over the break - which I am fine with. Then paint and fittings.
Apparently at this stage, we should be in around mid- end of Feb as per SS, so fingers crossed.
Still cant add photo's - really inconvenient so have uploaded to Photobucket - link is:

Gyprock complete
Well,
This week Kurmond have completed all the gyprocking in the house and it is so exciting to see the bulkheads and the rooms with walls. Can't believe they did it all in a week.
The Jazz cornice has arrived and so this should be finished this week too i imagine and then the warterproofing of the bathrooms.
They will then stop and handover the job to us for a week as we're using our own tiler to do the main floors and he needs to come in and screet the floor - Kurmond have been awesome with that, allowing us to provide things ourselves, so flexible, I know absolutely most builders are not normally that flexible. We pulled out our carpet, main floor tiles, ensuite bath, kitchen appliances and air con, so has really allowed us to afford this home.
Anyway. here are some photo's from today:

The house has had a bath!!
What a difference a bath makes.
Went past the house today and the bricks have all been cleaned and I am so happy with the brick colour.
So bricks are finished as are the eaves and Sentinel have been in as well as all the wiring to doors and windows are all done for the alarm, the aerial is on the roof along with the TV points are all wired up.
Here are some new photos: with the bricks cleaned.

Glass doors fitted
Only a few changes this week. Until the Bricks are cleaned, it all still looks the same.
New items done this week:
- Bricks around the Garage doors and alfresco finished
- Stacker doors to Alfresco and sliding door to Master installed
- Front Pillars are almost complete. Just part of the 2 large colums to be finished (a days work maybe??). These along with the Portico will be rendered. which I am hoping will break up the brick in the front a little.
Due to be done this coming week is:
- Electricals to be completed
- Our frame and roof walk through to be done and electrical check before Gyprocking starts.
- Bulkheads to be changed in family/meals (or at least started)
- Gyprockers to start (this is not until about Friday so may not get much done).
Picked our floor tiles for the main house today too (Kurmond only doing the wet areas). Beautiful format porcelain tiles (600 x 600), very neutral and should match well between the white of our kitchen and also white of skitrtings, the light grey of our walls and the tan/brown of our old furniture (which I hope matches the new colour scheme as we can't afford to start replacing furniture and it's not that old). We also got Black tiles to use as a border feature in our grand foyer, which will follow the Bulkhead in a rectangle. This should also match well if the study or Home theatre doors are open as our carpet is a dark charcoal colour.
Will meet our tiler out onsite this week (being done by a friend post hand-over) and he will have a look at the slab.
It's starting to come together, just need to get the money together to start paying for it all. At least these items won't be required until about Feb next year (my opinion of a completion date... but we will see).
Couple of happy snaps from today (if you can't tell by now I love me a photo!):
Yay! so exciting when there are so many things happening. can't believe 2 months ago we had grass... just amazing.

just some new photos
Well it's been a little while so thought I would post some new pics.
Looks like bricks are now almost finished. Electrician is booked in for Friday I think with Gyprock being delivered next week. Our frame/brick walk through is happening maybe Wednesday next week with Gyprock commencing on Friday.
Anyway, Brickie was busy this week.
Photo's from last Sunday:

More bricks....
Did our usual drive by today - got to do my first 'tour' as my Dad came for a sticky beak. First time any of my family have actually seen anything of the house.
You always try to explain as best you can from showing plans, but I dont think it actually ever gets across.
He was definitely surprised and it was so exciting showing him through the rooms. It also made me realise how much there is for us to do and that getting the actual house built is going to be the easier part of this project. The outside is going to be a very long road having 1.2acres to sort out.
Anyway, looks like the back is all finished as far as the bricks go and the right side. Just the left side and front to brick up now, so hopefully another week to go before our first official walk through.
Took some more photo's starting to see some of the areas more defined as the bricks go up.

Looking at the outdoor Lanai (with 1/2 wall)
Our Master bedroom sliding door to go in and 2 ensuite windows on the left
Outdoor Lanai - Wall is about this height and will put shutters on top that fold open so you can have additional cover when needed
Outdoor Lanai then looking in to the Rumpus
Looking from the Kitchen to the outdoor Lania and Rumpus on the right
Looking from the Kitchen to the end of the family/meals. TV will go on the wall at the end between the windows
Laundry
Store room (between garage and laundry)
Garage (looking from the house)
Garage (looking back to the house and 4th garage door located at the back of the garage so we can take the ride-on straight to the back garden.
Back of the Garage Wall and opeining is the rear garage door. Left door will be normal door leading to the outside
looking at the Rumpus (back garage wall on the left). I think this side of the house is finished for bricks
back of the house from the back garden also mostly finished
